" CDs! I lurv CDs and thnk of myslf as quite d’audiophile. Now, I knw some folks r merely casual listenrs of dis art, so dis particulr rant is for my fellow music lovers.
What annoy me about CDs are the following:
Number 1. Those f***ing idiotic stickrs they put on the spines of CDs. Thse things r ANNOYING. U rip them off, only 2 have some sticky RESIDUE left on ur case, which quickly collects all sorts of dirt, and grime, and for some reason, CAT HAIR from a cat you don’t own!! It’s ANNOYING!
Number 2. DIGIPAKS. Thse r CDs whse actual case is a flimsy piece of cardboard wif PRINTED GRAPHICS ON IT. "Well, what’s wrong wif dat?" Well, for one, d’whole case (which is also the album art) is now easily susceptible to all sorts of wear&tear. "Well, we’re saving the envirnmnt by using biodegradable packagng." BULLS***. Paper is cheaper than plastic. That’s why they manufacture them.
Number 3. Scurity tags that are not only inside the CD case, but are actully stuck ON the artwork itself. Then, when u try to remove it, your f***ing CD artwork is either warped, or ripped, and is now COMPLETELY RUINED! This needs to be outlawed. Put a f***ing scurity tag on a blank piece of paper and stick it inside the booklet! Simple! Stop ruining my album artwrk!
Number 4. Now I know – this pisses off JUST ABOUT EVERYONE – COPYRIGHT PROTECTION. U usually find out a disc has cpyright prtection when you put it in ur disc drive, and your whole f***ing comptr FREEZES! PERMENANTLY! BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!
And then d’record compnies wonder why no one is buying CDs anymor. No one is buying them bcoz they completely took the fun out of owning CDs! If you want to increase sales, stop f***ing with d’packagng, get rid of those top spine stickers, and those idiotic scurity tags, and the cpyright prtection crap that fucks up ur comptr! n more importntly, sign some GOOD f***ing BANDS!! No one is going to buy CDs frm bands dat suck! Don’t make me go back to vinyl! Damn you all! "
